Selected work
Through my work at a Norwegian university and R&D Nordic, I have supported research, funding proposals, training and advisory work across higher education, healthcare, defence, public services and the creative industries.
My experience includes project and proposal development across Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, the Research Council of Norway and NordForsk, alongside practical support on AI, privacy, research ethics and intellectual property.
I have also worked with filmmakers, artists and other creative practitioners on provenance, ethics and responsible technology use, helping them navigate legal requirements while preserving creative freedom.

Hello, I’m Andrew
I’m Andrew Davidson, a multidisciplinary R&D adviser based in Hamar, Norway. My background brings together behavioural science, research, AI, privacy and ethics. I connect the technical questions with the people, organisations and rules around them.
Through R&D Nordic, I help shape projects, connect disciplines and build partnerships, with responsible AI, privacy and practical delivery in mind.
Alongside the company, I work as an R&D and privacy adviser in Norwegian higher education. The roles are separate. In both settings, I care about leaving people with something clearer, stronger and more likely to work.
The ampersand in our logo reflects how I work: connecting people and technology, innovation and governance, research and practice. The “and” matters. Useful solutions come from understanding these relationships and bringing different perspectives together.

I’m equally interested in developing an externally funded research and innovation project together and taking on a defined consultancy assignment. You don’t need a consultancy budget in place to start a conversation about a project idea. A short email is enough to explore what structure makes sense.
